19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging season, managing just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children at once, so to get a trophy is really nice," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching strategy and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair traded breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.
Moutet defended four early opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the title with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
