Cars in Germany's Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Police then discovered many other smeared cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say early analysis suggest the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet informed of any harm in association with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking official commented the attack rendered him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter targeting individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
